The Singapore Science Festival is back for another year and it just went into full swing last Saturday.
Of the slew of events happening all over Singapore during this period, Science Ahoy! at the Singapore Science Centre is one of their core events.
You will follow the journey of a pirate ship and its crew as they discover the world. The challenges they face can be overcome by you with the wonders of science.
Going through all 4 stations available made me relive that eye-widening feeling when learning something new, especially since I was trumped by the message encryption station - kids these sure are smart with their maths.
Certainly the hands on segments of the event are its main highlights. Completing all 5 stations will also grant you a piece of the treasure map, which when stitched together will allow you to redeem a free water bottle.
Science Ahoy! will bring young curious minds and families looking for some fun in science on a voyage that is innocent as it is simple.
The $5 fee is well worth the memorable experience.
Science Ahoy! opens from 9:30am to 6pm at the Singapore Science Centre from 11 to 18 July.
Tip: Bring the exploration back home by getting one of the 17 Young Scientist Badge Card for S$2.50 and you could be on your way to get a Young Scientist Badge!
The Singapore Science Festival is a country wide celebration of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) with a total of 51 events, from 11 July to 16 August.
