At OKJ Discoveries, I always written articles where answers meet curiosities. Increasingly, that passion for knowledge has been of and for Singapore - It made me get involved in many local event, such as this and that, but for this time, its different.
This article doesn't have much to do with curiosity, documentary, technology or anything else that are accurate descriptions of my blog's content. But is there a need for a reason to help out a good cause?
So here is a shoutout to the My Singapore Project: Charity Concert 2014.
Every year, local Singer and Composer, Lorraine Tan ventures on this project, dedicating a song to Singaporeans to inspire us to pursue our dreams and work towards our goal.
But in 2011, a charity element was added to encourage Singaporeans to also do their part for the society
With this year official beneficiary being the President Challenge 2014, Lorraine's My Singapore movement is certainly amongst the highlights in Singapore's yearly charity line-up, a worthy place as it continues to provide opportunities to inculcate in children the values of giving and charity through music and the arts.
Performing alongside Lorraine will be a string ensemble from NAFA Project Strings, a combined schools choir featuring 200 children from schools all over Singapore, as well as guest artistes Nathan Hartono, Eric Du Xin, UFM 100.3 DJ Kenn and Xinyao artiste 潘盈 (Pan Ying).
Guest of Honour, President Mr Tony Tan will also be gracing the event.
