The Vikings Village has officially opened today, and I went down to make a list of seven things you can expect.
1. Actual Set Costumes
As one of History's most expensive productions, you would expect no skimping on quality costume design. Now, four of them have been flown all the way from the production set in Ireland!
Just check out that level of detail!
2. Fun Viking Facts
All around the village, look out for interesting facts about the people that lent their history and culture to the show we love, Vikings.
Find out about their way of life, the equality of men and women in their society, the technological innovations, family dynamics and their origin.
3. Winning a trip to Vikings Market
Pick up one of these questionnaires as you move through the village to answer four simple questions and stand a chance to win some awesome prizes including Lego collector sets, Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 with LTE and shopping vouchers.
Not to mention a chance to win a trip to Denmark to live like a Viking! Do note that the top three prizes are exclusive for StarHub TV Subscribers, as the winners will be announced each week on Vikings, Friday at 10pm on 6 March, 13 March and 20 March.
4. Conquest for Exploration Mini Game
Definitely one to queue for, the Conquest for Exploration mini game can be found at the "Conquest & Exploration" section Navigate your way through the metal pipe while learning about the Vikings history in through the centuries.
5. StarHub Exclusives
For StarHub customers, this is an event packed full of goodies. Stand a chance to win exclusive Vikings merchandises over at the StarHub counter and spin the sure-win wheel!
6. Vote for your favourite Lego Vikings Longship
Six impressive Vikings longships made of Lego bricks have been submitted by Lego fans to win your votes. Make it count and even you can stand a chance to win a Lego set and vouchers worth S$200.
7. Largest Wall Mural
And last but not least, the event will be where you can be part of history. In a bold attempt to build the largest wall mural made of Lego bricks in Singapore, success means everyone involved will get a certificate via either email or snail mail to recognise their contributions.
Further more, all the bricks used will be donated to several charities, and if Lego had been a big part of your childhood (like me), then this would be a very special gift indeed for those in need.
The mural is starting to come together. Each person will get a different set, some easy, some quite challenging - but all important in completing this would-be amazing piece of lego-art .
And there you have it, 7 exciting things to look forward to when you head down to History's first ever Vikings Village at Marina Square Central Atrium from 10am to 10pm. 26 February to 1 March.
Also, be sure to check Vikings 3, which premiers today with two back-to-back episodes. More details over at OKJ Discoveries' Calendar Section. Also, check out more official details over at www.historyasia.com/shows/vikings/event.
