If you need something, there is an app for it. And it is certainly true in the case of BBC, who recently launched BBC Player in Singapore, a new Subscription Video on Demand service for StarHub TV customers to enjoy the award-winning catalogue of content from the Channel 407 resident, anytime and anywhere, by streaming it to their smartphones and tablets.

Users will be able to stream and download content from six BBC global brands – BBC Earth, BBC First, BBC Lifestyle, CBeebies, BBC World News and the new BBC Brit – to watch offline for up to 30 days. This means time spent waiting for friends or public transport can now be spent on watching Sherlock and of course, the fantastic programming that is BBC Earth.

Fans of BBC Earth’s documentaries may also find BBC Brit intriguing. Making its debut in Asia through BBC Player, BBC Brit offers premium factual entertainment that is
intelligent but irreverent, blending expertise with entertainment and fact with fun.

BBC Player is free on iOS and Google Play. It is also available online at www.bbcplayer.com
