In this fast-paced, glossy celebration of super-size life, BAFTA winning British naturalist, writer and television presenter Steve Backshall meets the planet’s most charismatic species including great white sharks, African elephants, Nile crocodiles, elephant seals and sperm whales.

Supergiant Animals drives Steve to new levels of jeopardy as he swims with Nile crocodiles in Botswana and sperm whales in Dominica, dodges battling two-tonne elephant seals, dives with great white sharks and tracks a monster elephant on foot through the South African bush.

Using stunning natural history footage, cutting edge graphics and Steve’s hair-raising field demonstrations, Supergiant Animals explains what’s going on inside these remarkable animals and uncovers the incredible abilities that only they possess.

Supergiant Animals premieres on Thursday (2 October) at 9:00pm (SIN/HK) on BBC Knowledge.
