Adventurer Ben Fogle meets more people who have turned their backs on the trappings of Western society and set up home in some of the most isolated locations on Earth.
We all occasionally dream of giving up the day job and moving away from the hustle and bustle of modern life. But some people take their desire to get away from it all to the extreme. In this returning series, Ben Fogle meets people who have made their home in some of the most remote locations in the world.
In this series, Ben spends time with fellow Brit Julius Strauss who quit life as a frontline war correspondent to become a grizzly bear guide in Canada. He stays with Lynx Vilden – a former punkrock wild-child who has now spent more than half her life, living, hunting, eating and sleeping deep in the mountainous Pacific North West of America.
Elsewhere Ben meets Julia Pryke, who is just three months into a radical move to the remote Hungarian countryside, and missionaries Mickey and Trina Cofer, who live in Outer Mongolia.
So what’s the reality of leaving it all behind? Is it daring or just downright crazy?
